Kheer (Rice Pudding)

Chicken Karahi is a spicy and flavorful curry made in a wok-like pan called “karahi.” It’s cooked with ginger, garlic, tomatoes, and green chilies for a bold, aromatic taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2-3 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish
  • 3 tbsp oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a karahi (wok) and sauté onions until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add chicken pieces and cook until they turn brown.
  4. Stir in tomatoes, green chilies, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
  5. Cook until the tomatoes soften and oil separates.
  6. Add a little water, cover, and simmer until the chicken is tender.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with naan or rice.
